Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Association

The Downtown Courtenay BIA web site is a showcase for the diverse businesses in Courtenay's downtown core.

This was a fun project: it's basically our own backyards. Each business has a listing on the BIA, the first online presence for some of them.

The site is built on the Expression Engine content management system, allowing Kim (their hardworking coordinator) to update businesses and events quickly and easily. Businesses can submit their upcoming events and Kim can approve and post them with a single click.

The showpiece is the big, searchable map in the header of most pages, giving visitors a fun way to explore and plan their visit.
