The Big Time Out

Our fourth year running the promotional campaign for The Big Time Out.

Each year, The Big Time Out descends on the Comox Valley amidst a whirlwind of accordions, break beats, R&B and patchouli. Independent artists and fans of all stripes come together for an unforgettable weekend of music and love.

In the months leading up to the festival, building hype is essential. The Big Time Out’s web site does just that, with huge images, energetic design and loads of information.

We took full advantage of the social media revolution and promoted the festival through Facebook, e-mail newsletters, YouTube, viral marketing and online contests. Through each of these mediums we built a contact list in the thousands, creating a ready-made promotion network for future festivals.

We also built the online ticket system, letting the festival sell tickets right up until opening day.
